Biography
Ruben Abagyan obtained his tenure in biochemistry and mathematics from New York University and Courant Institute of Mathematics in 1996, and moved to La Jolla to become the director of computational drug discovery at the Novartis Research Institute and a professor at the Scripps Research Institute. He is now a professor at the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences of University of California, and San Diego Supercomputer Center in San Diego. He founded molecular software company MolSoft LLC 26 years ago and leads it. In 2023 he started a project and a research group in Armenia in 2023 with the FAST funding. Abagyan has published more than 330 articles and reviews in research journals, cited over 42,000 times, with Hirsh-index of 97, and has been serving as an advisor, or board member of several companies and research centers.
